Before we tissue engr's used to ask, what biomaterial is best for in vivo grafting? What cells types are needed for tissue fxn? Now we can do in vivo studies to address such questions rapidly. Expts that before took >2 yrs & 100's of mice now take 1 month & 8 mice (2/4).
