My thought: Law enforcement agencies made the right decision to pull SROs until the law is clarified IN WRITING. I’d never take someone’s verbal interpretation of it. My dad was a lawyer & always said: “A verbal agreement is worth the paper it’s written on”. Do it right!!
One by one, at least a handful of law enforcement agencies have pulled SROs from schools in the last two weeks following concerns over a new state law that prohibits certain types of restraint officers can use to diffuse unruly conduct.
