I’ve taken on some tough fights in Frankfort, including one that is very personal. Right now, my colleagues in the legislature are moving quickly on SB83, a bill to ban trans kids from playing sports — kids who know that this is a deliberate attempt to exclude them. 1/3

Meanwhile the KY legislature just voted to override the Governor’s veto in order to cut food stamps for the most vulnerable KYians. They are just taking food off the table of poor kids and seniors. I don’t ever want to hear about “pro-life” or “family values” again.
There goes $50 million in additional food stamps for May. Means 544,000 very low income Kentuckians will see, on average, a cut of about $100. Reminder: majority are kids and people 60 or older.
