it’s giving I hate Obamacare but love my ACA insurance 🫠.
i’ve seen tweets saying “people don’t even realize they’re on medicaid because most states call it something else.” and i thought you guys just joking but i genuinely heard someone say today that they weren’t sure if the free state insurance they’re on is medicaid.

I didn't have health insurance from the time I was 18, until I got married at 25. Y'all aren't gonna believe this, but in those 7 years, I didn't die. I didn't even get buried in medical debt. I know it sounds impossible, but before Obamacare, millions of us pulled this off.

as I understand it they’ve also fought against decades-long efforts to transition Cincinnati to a district-based city council instead of entirely at large. you have to have city-wide name recognition and $$$ to be competitive and the party puts their hands on the scale every time.
