Totally agree - we made ‘Lapwing’ for 1/30th (if that) of this budget and released theatrically in the UK, as well as on-demand across the US and Europe. It’s a mission, but if we’d needed £3m to get started we never would.
'it takes £3M to make a first feature'. does it?! feel like there are quite a few filmmakers who'd happily make a film for less than that but they don't get a chance
