Curious that spiking behaves different than fields in terms of decreasing entropy/LZc. Latter is very reliable finding with psychedelics so the former is an interesting surprise.

Very grateful to be included here. Psilocybin inducing high-freq oscillations (100Hz) in freely-moving rats:

I doubt it was this. Karl took it from Jaynes, where its meaning is different, perhaps the opposite. For Karl, it means average surprise so is uncertainty and therefore entropy.

Because the system is slower to recalibrate without sources of negentropy to feed on.

Sometimes a reviewer can sway an editor at a top journal and draw out a process for a couple of years, after which the original team behind the paper has to move on, find work etc and things stall. One of the rarely spoken harsh realities of the.

We’ll get there with this (publication), it’s been gate kept by reviewers for years but we’ll get there. So pleased it’s in public domain though as pre-print. Findings are potentially massive.

A single dose of psilocybin changes the brain. 1 month later there were maintained increases in cognitive flexibility, psychological insight & well-being.

Does the law of diffusion in part explain why an entropic brain shake down tends to leave a residual lightening of canalised priors (previously) at core of psychopathology? Ie how REBUS tends to do REBAS

So long as your view of reality is not absolutist, reductionistic, or atomistic, or a mix of these, things will be ok.

In fairness, he’s not describing what’s right to believe but what people did believe at that time as an effect and how it coloured society and culture.

If it *was caused by scientific Discovery, I definitely feel we can recover from the meaning crisis.
