If you're looking to eat more sustainably without sacrificing flavor, you might want to eat more oysters! "Farmed bivalves — oysters, and clams, mussels and scallops — have fewer emissions than all the fish in the sea, farmed or wild." https://t.co/FWaPR478i3

There's lots of talk about climate-friendly foods. But the most important factor for consumers remains: Which ones actually taste good?

Cool video by @AprilBonif showing the difference in what we can see by just looking at the shell versus what the CT scans show us. We were amazed by all the burrows that were revealed on the inside of the shells! #ctscanner #olympiaoysters #shellfishscience #safsuw

At no point in human history have we have more power to create a more beautiful world and yet, we choose not to. Right now it seems like we choose the opposite at every opportunity. Why? Why? Why?

The climate is changing. And it’s not just about changes in temperature. We see changes in the ocean, the atmosphere & the land surface. Many of these trends are unprecedented in human history.

We appear to have normalised the collapse of the Great Barrier Reef, 90% of whose parts have bleached this year. Or so the lack of horror and fury suggests. What else are we prepared to overlook, so that fossil fuel companies can keep making their billions?

Indigenous communities sustainably managed oyster fisheries for thousands of years. By centering their knowledge and histories, we could effectively restore and maintain oyster reefs, which have declined by 85% over the last 200 years. https://t.co/ObN9AKcipa
