If anyone wants to help spread the word about @SkypeScientist, it's one of two things we need the most. You can send people to: https://t.co/d0Dy8gZHFG And feel free to share this flyer with anyone who you think could benefit from our program!

The collapse of twitter has made it much harder to publicize Skype a Scientist (she says on twitter). Very open to any ideas on how to get the word out to teachers about our program. It has to be either free or low-cost (twitter collapsing has also made fundraising harder UGH).

For #SharkAwarenessDay I would like to give a huge shoutout to the amazing diversity of shark parasites that keep them accompanied! Here 👇, one if my favorites, the very attractive gnathiid isopod Gnathia trimaculata we described in 2009 from requiem sharks on the GBR. @NWU_WRG

A lot has changed for ocean ecosystems in the past century. Have generations of change influenced fish foraging ecology? Isotope data from natural history specimens reveal that the answer is yes and no. #FeatureArticle https://t.co/iilXrH56uh

Earlier this year, I asked the Twitterverse to help me identify well-funded (stipend & tuition waiver provided) MS programs in organismal biology. I compiled the list into this spreadsheet. Please share, and let me know if I missed any good programs!

Puget Sound harbors a huge diversity of parasites—from nozzle-mouthed parasitic worms to flabby flukes—and researchers are trying to figure out how each has and will continue to change. By @jack_tamisiea @DrChelseaLWood @RachelWelicky @burkemuseum https://t.co/7XF0PGnqOc

A 90-year record of fish parasites, unintentionally preserved in museum specimens, shows that while some species are booming, many are in decline. That’s not a good thing.

Trying to help this initiative get off the ground is likely one of the most challenging tasks I have ever decided to undertake. But it is also a particularly important one. Please read our appeal @Nature, spread the word, join, support @DAISEA_AfricaBP: https://t.co/knKMJFl6vs
