It was fantastic to chat with and learn from @EliBenSasson
“Only with crypto, in a decentralized self-sovereign system, you truly own your life. And we need to go back to that state.” @EliBenSasson, CEO of @StarkWareLtd, joined @juliosantos in New York to talk about privacy on today’s web. Full interview: https://t.co/0NJt6b5YU0

buying up cheap land in poorly regulated jurisdictions to start a state is still colonialism it's just outsourcing the violence to the hegemony which serves and enforces capital interests the evil of the big bad 'ism is not bc markets or trade is bad, it's bc 0/1
IMO people who called network states "colonialist" are wrong and misguided. We've seen a lot of large-scale colonialist evil the past few years. Almost none has come from network state exit libertarians, while a lot has come from people who decided libertarianism is outdated now

This is why we built @idOS_network We don't know which vertical is going to be the killer use case for the trillion USD stablecoin economy. We don't know which app or ecosystem will make the race. What we do know is: Identity is everywhere. https://t.co/pKsGNB5KoJ

Let’s be real: KYC, as our digital identity, falls short—yet if DeFi & stablecoins want real-world adoption, it’s needed. That’s why @idOS_network is built as a Consortium with @arbitrum, @Circle, @ripplexdev, @NEARProtocol, @Starknet, @tezos, @radixdlt, @partisiampc. And of

Check out this demo from @juliosantos of @idOS_network on how they're using credentials!
Credentials transform the XRPL from a pure payment network into a trust platform – one where value can move with confidence because identities, reputations, and permissions can move with it. Check out the live demo.

We built this about 5 years ago using verifiable credentials and smart locks. We could add greater functionality (e.g. check biometrics, age proof, access rights, etc) and ensure multiple issuers (creating admin rights). On-chain identity can work in many different models but
My home also can be unlocked with Ethereum, by verifying a NFT (ENS) ownership. In this example, the system verifies if I have an ownership of piyo.eth @ensdomains.

Part of the job as a cybersecurity professional is in fact arguing to purge and not log information about your customers. Data is not oil. It's risk.
