🧠 New Research on Sleep-Wake Patterns and Alzheimer's! 💤.We found frequent, irregular interruptions of daytime activity and nighttime sleep were associated with higher levels of Alzheimer's plaques in the brain. #Alzheimer #SleepResearch #EndALZ.
Fragmented 24-hour activity rhythms were associated with higher subsequent amyloid-β burden, suggesting that rhythm disturbances have preceded amyloid-β deposition and may be a modifiable risk factor for Alzheimer disease.
