All the haters please stop writing NYC's obituary. We survived 9/11, riots, blackouts and bankruptcy, etc. Anyone who wants to leave can go. We must grow and change and get better. Our people will demand it and it will happen. But NYC never dies. Our people won't allow it.
Good luck getting NYC back on its feet after last night. The damage to the city’s image here and abroad, its finances and its future is going to be incalculable.

One of these people embraced UPK before the “start of 2014.” Must be a total coincidence the other guy embraced it then, because definitely no other intervening mayoral elections happened that could have forced the other guy’s hand.
Cute to see de blasio 2.0 out there defending his hero. Since @ZohranKMamdani was in college when the adults were governing, happy to bring him up to speed — after years of the state funding pre-k pilots (beginning in 2007), Cuomo and de blasio both proposed and embraced.

Cuomo's team alleges @JustinBrannan & @ZohranKMamdani's camps "together" provided us a poll showing Mamdani leading @andrewcuomo for the first time. Having received, assigned and edited the pitch, I want to clarify this is untrue. It was provided by Brannan, not Mamdani.

Great poll for Zohran.1. Honan polls all had 20+ error in primary. 2. Respondent were +13 fav/unfav for Cuomo - a very pro cuomo # even with that bias he still isn't winning. 3. Definitive that Zohran will beat Adams. 4. Adams/Sliwa get enuf votes (20%) to kill indy line chances.
INBOX: @BradleyHonan is out with a new poll showing @andrewcuomo and @ZohranKMamdani tied at 39% in the general. Sources tell me most ppl around Cuomo are trying to dissuade him from running, but this poll may change his mind.

First poll that showed Zohran ahead was reported by Politico. It was the only poll that said that until the day before the election.
What @politico in ny has become is an outlet that reports on election trends before they're conventional wisdom. What we're not is an outlet that bends to fear. Proud of my team; beyond proud of @NickReisman and wishing everyone who worked on races well tonight.
