Some thoughtful but sobering perspectives from members of the BUSPH community on the myriad ways a second Trump administration can harm the health and well-being of the public. But as the article says, “There’s no way through this but forward.” https://t.co/FNZT6C6wJA

Much is at stake in this election, including environmental and climate policy. Proposals from Project 2025 and America First could lead to fewer air pollution controls on power plants, which save thousands of lives and billions of $ each year. More⬇️ https://t.co/CnMWnNYgpG

"The commercial interests of many industries, including alcohol, tobacco and fossil fuels, aren’t always compatible with the public interest or human health." Great piece from @jonlevyBU in the @latimes featuring our new report @ClimateWatchdog

I try to focus on policies (vs people), but I’ve been asked a lot about this specific article. The premise is YOU CAN IGNORE COVID (…if you’re up to date on vaccines and take Paxlovid when sick…). But the headline buries the lede, almost to the point of being disinformation.

I really don’t care what Elon chooses to name his platform. The only relevant question from my perspective is whether it (or any platform) allows for meaningful and fact-based exchange on public health issues of significance.
