Resolved. Solution: 1. Call helpline 2. Tell them you r not able 2 generate otp to unlock Aadhar. Don’t get into details of VID. 3. Give them your enrolment ID/ acknowledgement number (generate this online, if you don’t have it) 4. They will generate Service request
.@UIDAI unable to generate OTP to unlock Aadhaar using VID. Have been trying all day. National Helpline has been of no use. Aadhaar seva Kendra also not helpful.

@UIDAI Once you have locked the Aadhaar, it does not unlock. Had to call customer thrice, no fruitful solution. Have raised a grievance through their website, but complaint closed because I did not choose the correct category. https://t.co/D3WW3kHOZx

Use Lock/unlock feature for prevent of use of aadhar. Please lock aadhar after that you never gonna use your aadhaar card without this long queue. I an here since 4am for unlocking my aadhar @UIDAI @DelhiGovDigital this is what i voted for.

@UIDAI @ceo_uidai Not able to unlock. Getting error - Aadhaar locked by Aadhaar number holder. This mean that all permanent forms of identifiers are locked for any kind of authentication. Resident can still use VID.

@UIDAI @ceo_uidai @PIBHomeAffairs @PMOIndia I retrieved VID by sending sms to 1947. And when I use this VID to unlock aadhar using https://t.co/Xx9dtrPxSY, it gives an error as "Expired VID is used in Input". Please see attached screenshot.

@UIDAI my father's aadhar is locked, i have called 4 times, plus sent emails 3 times - no solution provided by your team. Can someone from your team help me to unlock it?

.@UIDAI a locked aadhaar maybe a good for security, but totally not helpful when you cannot unlock it when you want despite having a valid VID (regenerated by sms). This also causes issue with other related services which require aadhaar authentication including EPF.

I also understand, this is not a specific issue with me as there are other people also who have raised the same issue of unable to unlock aadhaar tagging @UIDAI. The sms service options also doesn't work and it says technical error try again.

.@UIDAI how will I know which category this will fall under when there is no drop down, which specifically mentions about this specific issue. If it is an incorrect category, ideally you should transfer it to a appropriate department based on my detailed complaint.
