Really enjoyed @MrAbercrombie’s walking tour around Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson’s masterpieces and influences last night + some of us unexpectedly wound up in the Pot Still for a drink afterwards. 36 years in #Glasgow and the first time I’ve been this legendary pub 🍻🤦♂️😂!

Amidst all the grim news last week, there was one bright moment. I used Thursday, the week's only dry day, to pay a visit to the recently refurbished Provand's Lordship, which has just reopened after a £1.6m upgrade, and it's looking braw.

I am really impressed by the two year restoration of the 553 year old Provand's Lordship, Glasgow's oldest house, led by @MrAbercrombie of @johngilbertarch. The new lime harling might have surprised people, but it was how it would have originally appeared before the 19th century

I was back at Scottish Parliment last night, talking all things #Passivhaus, energy efficiency, fuel poverty and building performance with @PassivhausTrust . Great to see cross party support from members of Parliment and wider construction industry. Thank you @AlexRowleyFife!
Fantastic turnout for the @PassivhausTrust event in @ScotParl tonight. I was pleased to host and talk about the Members Bill I introduced to change the law to make all new build housing in Scotland be built to a Scottish Passivhaus equivalent standard. Great event.
