This is an interesting graphic. I suspect few to none of the “tax the rich” crowd will be aware of (or believe) it.
Here's a handy IFS tax change analysis since 2010, distributed by household income decile. The state takes less tax from the bottom 90% of households compared to 2010. And takes a socking great lot more from the top 10%. We really, really have taxed high incomes, @bencsmoke.

I was on a trading floor 24 years ago, watching the second plane hit, wondering what came next. We had open phone lines to people in the tower, we spoke to them and heard them in their confusion and then in their knowledge that they were going to die. It was a horrendous

Is this the consensus view nowadays, that a person’s religious belief and practices may not be criticised? I can’t agree, religion should be viewed the same as any other belief system.
If you must, attack Shabana Mahmood for her politics, for what she says and what she does. Not for who she is. It’s time we reminded ourselves of the boundaries of acceptable political debate in this country
