I’ve seen the future of AI and robotics and it’s just humans cleaning up the mess they made with their bad assumptions and unmet expectations.

iClown design: the visual weight of spam massively outweighs that of human beings in new Apple Mail app.

Not interested in a robot that climbs out of its own box.
What is San Francisco and Silicon Valley like? Last night @nathanbenaich invited me to an event. I got there late. They wouldn’t let me in due to fire code. I wait in the lobby with a few other people for an hour. So the “rejects” all start talking. Get tired of waiting.

Huge shout out to the entire team who worked on this. Was a massive effort! Would love any feedback you all have when using typographic & gradient variables.
We were dropping hints about typography Now our typography drop: → Font family → Font weight and style → Font size → Line height → Letter spacing → Paragraph spacing and indent

Typography is 100% all about this. Good type is optically spaced not computationally spaced and Cameron lays out a good example of how that applies to an icon set.
It's important for designers to learn the difference between computational alignment and optical alignment early in their careers, and when to use both. Here's one example. Computational alignment suggests the skip buttons should be equal distance from the play button. Optical

Steve Jobs invented Macintosh OS, NextOS, and iPhone OS. If he were still leading Apple this is what he'd be doing. He wouldn't just be endlessly revising the annual iPhone refresh.

Modern architecture in residential homes is rare in Northwest Arkansas, but exceptionally rare under $400K. #NWAmodern

Important previously redacted information about Instagram and Facebook knowingly keeping features that harm people (teens especially).
Called it! - classic Facebook move on Thxgiving eve. Unsealed nearly every redaction 233 pages in 40+ state AGs lawsuit alleging FB knowingly harmed children's mental health with addiction for profit. Email me, I'll send to you. Yellow = newly unsealed. 20 tweet summary here. /1

Design waste: Designing things that won't get used. Engineering waste: Building things to stay busy.
