It’s Tony Spreadbury’s final day at the RFU in charge of the Premiership’s referees. If you think Top Gun then Spreaders is Viper, making sure the best of the best get even better. He’s off to look after Europe’s elite refs. You can never have too many people like Spreaders.

Not much in world sport is as pleasing as the Aussies getting beaten at cricket in their own back yard.... especially after giving it so much chat throughout*. *England wins and Lions tour victories aside! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🦁 🏉 🏏

Lockdown options: 1. Get in best shape of life. 2. Eat another biscuit. Best have a biscuit while deciding.

Never again can Americans mock cricket because it goes on for days with no clear winner . #USElection2020

I struggled a lot in my first term at uni. Not being able to socialise, combined with 'you can't go home for xmas' threats ... I'd have just quit. Scot & Eng going to be picking up a huge mental health tab. It's a balance & this feels it's tipped too far in the wrong direction.

Macro worries: - The economy - Jobs - Community and professional sport - The hospitality sector - Seems like this might all be a bit unsustainable... Personal complaints: - It would have been nice to get married... - I miss rugby

I suspect millions have the same view as me. Supported the first lockdown in the face of an unknown virus, but vehemently oppose another shutdown now we know far more about how to deal with it. We can't continue this cycle waiting for a vaccine that may never come.

Why the whistle went. Prem refs briefing us today on the new breakdown interpretations. They know you & me won’t agree with every decision this weekend, but this kind of relationship with coaches, players and the media help us all understand what they’re looking for.
