I spent ten hours in A&E last night. Leaving today at 6 a.m., I was aware of many staff members wiping down surfaces, making everything safe for the rest of us. Ten hours into a busy shift, they were protecting us. Let’s protect the nurses and the doctors by following the rules
A friend of forty years standing, died last evening from Covid-19. His name was John. Not a stastistic. May he and everyone else rest in peace. Condolences to all their families and friends.
On a night like tonight, you might think that The Taoiseach might address the nation. The medics have enough to be doing without going on tv pleading with people to behave. Where is the political leadership?

This Kilkenny car story is beyond tragic. The man who stole the car is dead and the young 16 year old whose parents owned the car, has life-altering injuries. Sadness upon sadness.
We are serious bring ripped off in Dublin. The cost of a really delicious lunch today cost €32. That included, 2 starters, onemsin course, 2 desserts and a carafe of wine.

2/2 At the traffic lights at Terenure Criss, a man shouted at me to stop. I did and he handed me my wallet from the roof of the car. I am amazed and lucky. Not to mention stupid!
So Kamala Harris had an affair with a married man almost 20 years ago. They will crucify her for that. Not much comment on a president who cheated on his pregnant wife. No siree. Different standards fo the men.
Wishing you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas. Many and sincere thanks for all your lovely interactions during the past year especially regarding our wedding. You are a terrific crew. ❤️❤️
I stooped at Five Points Coffee in Harold’s Cross to buy an Almond Croissant. They were only accepting cards, I had cash. On my way out out the shop, a very nice young man offered to pay for heart’s desire and he did! People are just great.
When I was about 17 I had a huge crush on a boy who came to my school for piano lessons. We kept in touch when he went away to study for the priesthood! Today he offered to bless my marriage to John. Life is full of wonderful surprises.
As Maria sang in The Sound of Music, 'Somewhere in my youth or childhood, I must have done something good.'
Goodnight everyone. You have been brilliant.

No contrite apology. No sir, you are no servant to Ireland. This ‘distraction’ was caused by you, continued by you, controlled by you. You are a national disgrace.

Hy everyone. Not quite back yet but soon. Thank you for so many messages of kindness and support, greatly touched by kindness. I spent a week in St. Vincent's and my gratitude to the teams who looked after me, know no bounds. Delighted and grateful to be at home.
Of the many strange and wonderful things that have happened to us, this takes the biscuit. Having just arrived at our hotel, a man offered us a seat in the lounge and said ' you are definitely on your honeymoon I can see the sparkle.' Amazing.
Goodnight all. Thank you for sharing our happiness with us. Special love and thanks to Mrs Cogan for organising the sunshine.

It infuriates me the way single people are almost always excluded from the houses crisis. It's as if they haven't met the gold standard of coupledom. Their lives, their choice, their right.

It was largely due to the conversations that Marian started that old women like me decided never to put up and shut up. She released a damburst of frustrations , hopes and dreams.

For a man who frequently gets such vitriol on here, I'd like to counter that by saying that
@philipnolan1
is the warmest, funniest, most authentic and finest man you could meet.
Waiting in the GPs for my bi-annual check up, I remark to to the man beside me that I am starving for my breakfast. He looks me over and says,'sure you've plenty of reserves on you.' So says the fellow who looks like he is pregnant with triplets!
Thank you all for your birthday wishes.
Blessed is the man who, being ill himself, delivered a a wonderful card, cake and flowers.
Anyone can drink champagne with you. Well done

You would have to be made of stone to be unaffected by the testimony of Helen and her six sisters whose father was jailed for repeated rape and cruelty. Five and half years to get a kind of closure. The state failed them. No words to describe their bravery.
On my own at last! Thank you to so many people for all your wonderful and thoughtful cards and gifts. We are blown away by the sheer kindness and goodwill. We can't wait for our wedding day and have sworn that next time, we'll elope!
From both of us with ❤️
