@joancooke5 Hi. I thought that too but have a look at @CMOIreland tweet from earlier. 77 lab confirmed cases today, but the deaths occurred over a number of days, not all today. Still tragic - 77 grieving families, but numbers decreasing

@joancooke5 No 77 did not die today - 77 were notified to Dr Holohan and co - it’s takes anything from 3 days to 2 weeks to get a death cert so it is probable that some were people who died 7/10 days ago - figures will balance out at the end. But every dead is a tragedy - RIP to all 77
