We are serious bring ripped off in Dublin. The cost of a really delicious lunch today cost €32. That included, 2 starters, onemsin course, 2 desserts and a carafe of wine.

I was in Rome last weekend and genuinely could not get over the value for money for food. I stayed with friends, and 3 coffees, 2 pastries and 2 freshly squeezed OJs was about a tenner. Unbelievable!

Ah but the wonderful weather we have in Ireland and the safe streets to walk in our cities. That linked with the best dining and wining couldn’t be matched anywhere else in the world.

Well in the North of spain you can get, doble serving of patas braves, 2 fillets of hake with a huge salad, calamares, 2 pints of local beer and 2 fresh fruit jucies and bottle of water for €22.

We’ve been out for several meals lately. Omg the price rises are astronomical. We are really out pricing ourselves. What happened to the vat reduction. Coffee x2 and two buns from a coffee shack 16€ the other day. Still jot over the shock

Just opened a business in Dublin and the rates are INSANE. That on top of rents and wage taxes, food pricing is rising. The government is taxing the heck out of me before I even opened my door. It’s nuts.
@joancooke5
Our weekly bills from our food suppliers have doubled, our energy costs have tripled, we have new bank holidays to pay out for and upcoming paid sick days per employee per year to pay for too.Please talk to someone who runs an independent food business & ask them if they are ok.
@SkinnyBatchBake
I understand all that and believe it to be true. Still it's hard to understand that in one of the world's named most expensive city, good food can be delivered at great value.
@joancooke5
Hate this 'bring ripped off' nonsense. The Irish restaurant is probably working off the exact same margins. Why do people not understand costs differing in different countries?
