Staff need to gain the understanding that students in year 7 do ‘know stuff’ to work collaboratively with primary schools is always beneficial and ensures that we have a more ‘fluid’ year 7 curriculum rather than plod on with ‘what we’ve always done’ which can lead to regression.

175km run this month! Not too shabby. Running is something I never thought I would stick at when I started 6 years ago. Who knew how far I would come?Very much on track for my 7th marathon at the end of May and 1000miles this year! Nothing to stop me doing this! Wish me luck! 😊

In 16 weeks I shall be stood on the start line of my 5th Edinburgh Marathon. After missing last year’s race due to ill health I never thought I would be running the distance again. Support from family and friends and sheer determination has got me to the point where I am happy

Today has been a good day. I visited every classroom, every lesson today and a joy to see the focus & hard work. After school I joined the running club for a plod around our lovely site and on getting home have just taken the dog for a long walk 😊

3. Every hour or so seek refreshment
4. Ensure that sun cream and insect repellent are within easy reach.

This time next week it will all be over. I will have completed my 7th marathon. This one will be my first on my own. 12 weeks of hard training, over 300 miles run, only taper week to go. Time to trust the training and see how I get on! Would be happy enough with 4hours 30minutes.
