Everyone clamoring for UMass to take football seriously, so they essentially hire an AD for Football who will focus on supporting that program above the other 19 on campus. “Not like that!” FWIW Bamford comp is on par with Western Michigan AD, who’s also won a hockey title 🤷
Not to be overlooked that Ryan Bamford, who is pilfering $700K+/yr from the Commonwealth, used as justification for hiring a $350K/yr deputy that he couldn't make a less than 5 minute drive from his office to the football stadium as needed (in an $85K car he doesn't pay for)

Having 48 hours to schedule and secure transportation across the state sounds good in theory but in practice those 48 hours are weekends when many transportation offices are closed. I once had a departure time move up 3 hours because of seeding and travel. Lucky we had a driver.
Good luck to all ADs trying to schedule buses and officials after today’s bracket release. Especially those having to play preliminary games tomorrow or Monday!
