Tragic loss for the chemistry community and my alma mater UCLA. My heart goes out to the Mensah family.
It is with utmost sorrow and heavy hearts to announce the passing of our President and Co-Founder of BlackinChem, Samantha “Sammy” Mensah. She was a phenomenal activist, leader, inventor, science communicator. and a doctoral candidate in chemistry at UCLA. (1/3)

Long twitter hiatus, was busy growing a little person! River was born 10/12/22 and is growing strong. Happy to be an academic mom in 2022 and in the zoom era. Lots of angling the camera up while she feeds.
