Today it was confirmed that the president told the world's most infamous pedophile and child sex trafficker: "We have certain things in common." For any other president, it would be the biggest scandal of their lives, possibly career-ending. For Trump, it's just Monday.

I know it's a tired line at this point, but if we found out Obama or Biden wrote a letter like this to a notorious pedophile, I'm fairly certain the rotation of the earth would stop.

To sum it up: The president of the US sent the world's most notorious child sex trafficker, with whom he frequently socialized, a birthday note about how they both shared "a secret", superimposed on a doodle of what appears to be a female child. Not a word of exaggeration.

Lower Manhattan jumped from dead last to 21st in affordable housing production almost entirely because of one office conversion: 25 Water Street. We can make a huge dent in our housing crisis with buildings that already exist. Don't listen when people tell you "NYC is full."

44 states have universal daylighting laws – INCLUDING New York. NYC has simply been allowed to opt out of the law, despite the intervention being a best practice in street safety. It's time for that to change. Pass Intro 1138 to protect our kids and all who use our streets.

A massive betrayal of the 25,000+ Americans who explained to @FTC how noncompetes keep people trapped and coerced, undermining basic freedoms. Another clear sign that, despite its rhetoric, this administration is deeply hostile to American workers.

Remember this the next time you hear about “community input.” A few wealthy residents at a 6pm meeting trying to block housing? That’s democracy in action. A citywide referendum on structural changes to housing policy? Unacceptable.

Marte has passed zero bills. And when it came to City of Yes, the most consequential vote in years, he was one of just a handful of Democrats to vote no. New Yorkers deserve progress: housing, safe streets, better transit—not obstruction. The record speaks for itself.

The NYC mayor’s race is a clear example of a corrupt political system: @ZohranKMamdani wins the Democratic primary. The oligarchs spend whatever it takes to defeat him. Democratic leadership refuses to endorse him. Together, we will take them all on and elect Zohran as mayor.

Congress has not authorized military hostilities against Venezuela. There’s no exception permitting unilateral action because it’s “drugs” or “terrorism” or a “designated organization.” The “peace president” strikes again.

As @potus just announced moments ago, today the U.S. military conducted a lethal strike in the southern Carribean against a drug vessel which had departed from Venezuela and was being operated by a designated narco-terrorist organization.

It’s funny because if the ballot question were as direct and accurate as possible—“do you think individual council members should be able to veto affordable housing projects in their districts?”—it wouldn’t even be a contest.

🚨NYC councilmembers are calling on the elections board to reject the housing measures on the ballot, calling them a "cynical political ploy to mislead voters" because the measures say affordable housing gets "fast tracked," but fail to say 'because Council no longer has a veto'

Nadler was my representative from the day I was born until redistricting moved him uptown. From helping rebuild post-9/11, to championing congestion pricing, to leading the impeachment of Trump, he’s always led with heart and a progressive vision far too rare in Washington.
