History will judge us poorly for welcoming Netanyahu to Congress with open arms as he commits war crimes in Gaza.

I've just invoked Art.99 of the UN Charter - for the 1st time in my tenure as Secretary-General. Facing a severe risk of collapse of the humanitarian system in Gaza, I urge the Council to help avert a humanitarian catastrophe & appeal for a humanitarian ceasefire to be declared.

Haven’t been able to get out of my head the fact that 50,000 pregnant women in Gaza have no access to healthcare right now. It’s unimaginable, the amount of stress & trauma they’re experiencing. 5,500 are supposed to give birth this month. Bringing new life, surrounded by death.

There no lonier place in this universe than around the bed of a wounded child who has no more family to look aftervthem

We, as @UNRWA, are mourning the loss of 14 colleagues. At least 400,000 people are now displaced in our schools & buildings in📍#Gaza Old people, children, pregnant women, people with disabilities are just being deprived of their basic human dignity. This is a total disgrace.
