Would have been ridiculous if it was with a wooden club and a balata ball .This is just impressive.

Back when there was real skill in hitting the driver .Most club players had a 2 wood at best because the driver was so hard to hit, going to the golf to watch driving the ball was a real treat. Now the driver is the easiest club for all it's taken some of the amazement out.
"By jove, he didn't hold back on that!". Never get tired of watching Seve drive the 10th green at The Belfry with a persimmon driver in 1978.

For me the most fun form of the game.
Persimmon woods, Mizuno blades, Cleveland wedges, Ram Wizard putter, balata Dunlop 65 with brown and pretty burnt-up fairways. Just about the perfect combination.👌.⛳️🙂@rollbackgolf

Also zoom in and check out the age and demographic .Young and women as well .Definitely not the traditional golf crowd .There is room for both products .More golf is good for the appeal of the game.

So many wrong trees on golf courses. The flowering gums @CommonwealthGC used to bother me. I know they look good but the gum nuts on the paths were dangerous and they belong on WA not Vic.

And the biggest issue is the vast majority of players who have a say in the game are those who are less skilled .Nicklaus wanted the equipment controlled yet Fred Nerks wants a drop form a divit.
Never a truer word. Is the game really better for this century’s inventions? .One reason it’s immeasurably better is all the great architecture post 2000.

Correct star golfers motivate existing players but mums dads grandparents and friends grow the game.
@ianmcinally1 @mikeclaytongolf @jamierkennedy The game is not grown by the big stars, the game is grown by parents, grandparents and others taking the time to introduce someone to the game. From a playing perspective Tiger Woods did not grow the game, check participation numbers from 1995-2019.

Worse than that is I actually think they do. But choose to misinform people by using the stereotypes about private golf to make a case for closing Public Golf.

The thing I can never understand is the targeting of Public Golf where everyone is welcome .I would understand it if politicians like @CloverMoore @ChrisMinnsMP went after private golf but taking from those who have little is un Australian @jmkendler.
Over 150 kids at Moore Park golf course today for the 2025 Junior Skills Championship. These kids are going to loose out if we press ahead with @CloverMoore life goal of taking away public golf in Sydney. @ChrisMinnsMP WTF are you still supporting this plan?? #savemooreparkgolf
