I’m so proud and grateful to have been just a small part of this project over the last few years, and of how it shows the ability of social science to address the challenges that American democracy faces today. Excited to see our final results out in @ScienceMagazine!

Proud to be a part of the Strengthening Democracy Challenge with our @NDRooneyCenter team @ProfMattHall @wzcmarsh and Levi Allen. Our intervention primes partisans to consider their party’s political strength with the goal of reducing perceived outpartisan threat.
⚡️Partisan Threat @ProfMattHall, @wzcmarsh, Levi Allen, @jameskirk_14 To decrease perceptions of threat for the other party, participants are told facts that demonstrate their party’s political dominance and that the country will lean toward their party for foreseeable future.

Excited to be a part of this new report with @socialconcerns. We use survey data collected from @NotreDame students to better understand public opinion and political engagement among the university community. Loads of interesting insights about the politics of young Americans!
Democratic engagement at @NotreDame: Check out this new report on the 2020 post-election student survey from ND's Center for Social Concerns @socialconcerns. Find out how ND students voted, what issues motivated them, & how they compare to their peers:

The real shit is that there's not much Biden can do. He's not doing the wrong Messaging™ or "too close to activists." Problems facing center-left parties are long term & structural. Best hope for Dems was to use policy--but we learned that 2 pivotal senators don't want that.
