When I was at @Cruise, a few research scientists had great foresight about the future of AI and where it was heading. It's fascinating to see 2+ years later, what they mentioned back then is now unfolding 🔮.

Still surprising why we haven't seen LLMs in home assistants yet i.e. Google home? Guessing because (1) disadvantages of first-mover (i.e. you have more learnings for "free" from others going first), (2) safety and trust concerns, (3) waiting for new hardware to drive more $$$?.

AI enabled search-as-service is becoming the next wave. Interesting to see vector db companies add this as an offering, and vertical specific gaining traction (ie ecommerce, healthcare, etc).
