Here is the new Referee Abuse Policy put into affect this weekend in the USA. All examples are red cards but with varying levels of suspensions or bans. Specific examples given further down.

Anyone who knows anything about the laws of the game recognizes this is not a handling offense. It’s a supporting arm, attempting to regain balance. No “intention” to touch the ball.

No one will like this, but it’s a supporting arm. There is no intent. Watch it at full speed. He hardly has an idea the ball is there. He’s not denied the attacker anything through this action.

When someone passes away, you can tell the character of the individual by the response of those close. The entire footballing world mourns the loss of Diogo Jota and Andre Silva. A wonderful human being surrounded by other great human beings (many of whom are LFC people).
One thing that's become evident: Jota's world wasn't a world of brilliant footballers who also happened to be great human beings. It was a world of brilliant human beings who also happened to be great footballers.

There are empty seats, but it’s fuller than I expected. The @Palmeiras fans have been excellent, non stop chanting. Amazing atmosphere.

You can see how much love and respect Diogo Jota carried. This sort of event also makes you realize how fragile life is, and how it can be changed in an instant.
Huge respect to both Ruben Neves and Joao Cancelo for somehow managing to play after this.

In the USA, according to the referee abuse policy, that player should receive a minimum 10 game suspension AND a 12-24 month ban.

If clubs have this sort of behavior happening, they are directly responsible. It is a sign of the culture of the club itself. A good strong culture of sporting behavior would never have this happen.
@Diesereine18 @TheRefereeForum @HAbbotoniansFC Would be great if you could also go on with your day, without attempting to ruin the reputation of a club, that I’m guessing, doesn’t have the slightest bit of impact on your life.
