If it were for biased media / decels, we’d still be riding around on horses
Trying to deny consumers access to a technology that makes them 10x better drivers—or gin up opposition to the same—is immoral.
Even at the current state of the technology, if every driven mile in the US were FSD-facilitated, 40,000+ deaths could be avoided.

Such an exciting time to be working on robotics right now - tasks that felt sci-fi few years ago, are seemingly possible now!
Super excited to share our team's progress over the last few months. We can now accomplish long horizon tasks such as sorting blocks fully autonomously in a completely task-agnostic way.
Just collect more data and we can train a new complex task without changing any code!

Yeah uss may miss low curbs or thin objects etc. Obv it isn’t perfect yet, but like any new feature, it’s already a step improvement and will keep getting better.

Yeah it’s the same story as cost of low volume prototype vs high volume production vehicle.
Once we make them useful enough, choose hardware components with manufacturing efficiency in mind, and deploy them at scale, economies of scale will do its magic

Innovations required to build highly capable models for embodied AI (eg. Tesla FSD) running on the edge will naturally translate to rest of the domains.
Agents will be instructed by voice, as true, competent servants. AI chip fab capacity and electricity utilization - not AI capability - may slow this down.
