The GCSE has now been approved by the Department for Education, as part of the government's #Sustainability and #ClimateChange Strategy, and could be taught to students by as early as 2025! . That's a win for conservationists of the future!.

To combat nature knowledge being lost in the next generations Mary Colwell, alongside other experts and activists, have spearheaded the campaign to create a Natural History GCSE, of which the @IUCN National Committee in the UK (us) is proud to be a supporter!

Did you know that since 2007, Oxford Junior Dictionary has been removing words from the #naturalworld and replacing them with technological words that ‘have more currency for today’s young people’?. This includes species and habitats that should be a priority for #conservation!
