A great pleasure to welcome @pipoceanracing to @DauntseysSchool for a Q&A with Sixth Form students and then to deliver her Mercers Lecture “My Vendée Globe Journey”. From landlocked Huntingdon, 30 years later she started and finished her first @VendeeGlobe

All I’m saying is that if he is a political genius, he’s the first political genius to be forced out of office because they managed to wrap themselves in a web of obfuscation about appointing a non-entity sex pest to a junior role in the government whip’s office.

What do you get if you cross an anagram with a joke? A kind of joyous, eager magic that wows at any hour. #anagram

These are close to my parents house, and 'just tucked into a shed' waiting to be stumbled across by the curious. Every time I pop in I'm blown away by the age, condition and craftsmanship
The amazing collection of sculptured medieval graveslabs in the lapidarium, originally a burial aisle, in the churchyard at Kilmartin Church in Argyll. These are some of the more recent historical wonders to be found in Kilmartin Glen. More pics and info: https://t.co/fkWbR37y2D

At last! Stagecoach bus service from Aviemore to Coire Cas carpark has improved. Early 7am service, weekend service and later, last bus down. They've even rebranded and spruced up their buses! Well done. #environment #publictransport #NationalParkService #greenissues

Sad news from Girl Guiding
News about the Girlguiding activity centres: our trustees have recommended we sell our 5 activity centres, due to investment needed and reduced member use over the last decade. We’re planning to keep them operating until 31 Dec 2023 with all 2023 bookings and events going ahead.

Hello / Shwmae Bannau Brycheiniog! What's in a name? Bannau comes from the Welsh ‘ban’, meaning peak. Brycheiniog refers to the old kingdom of King Brychan. With this name, we lay claim to the special history and culture of our area. #AnOldName #ANewWayToBe

Either the prospect of being sent to Rwanda is a tough deterrent that will stop people trying to cross the Channel, or it’s a wonderful, vibrant place to be sent to start a new life. It can’t be both.
