I think Matthew means solid growth of 0.3% which is much better than zero percent growth under Gordon Brown. Of course it’s shit compared to other mature economies but cheerleaders always talk up mediocre results as a great success.
@MatthewStadlen "Solid growth"?! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Check out the global competition?.

The richest 1% are paying 30% of all taxes. If you want them to leave, they won’t pay any tax - the poorer people will have to pay MORE tax to make up for it. It’s blindingly obvious.
@griffitha All these rich people leaving, they can't be very patriotic otherwise they'd stay & pay their fair share like the rest of us have to.

No one has money yet there are large numbers of relatively new, expensive cars on the road. How do you explain such a dilemma?.
@afneil I'm tired of pretending stats like GDP make any sense. Everything is expensive. No one has any money. Food is unaffordable. People are being crucified by rental prices. There are just too many people literally everywhere. I don't give a damn what the IMF stats say.

That might be the apparent cost. But what happens when you factor in money saved through reduced benefits, child allowance, family credit and increased economic activity, VAT & employment taxes?.
Nigel Farage = economically illiterate. Raising the tax threshold to £20,000 would cost the economy £60-£80 billion. Allowing married couples to earn £45,000 tax free for would be even more eye-watering. Nigel Farage is taking the electorate for complete fools. Wake-up!.

Cos taxes & bills have gone up on so much stuff, people are still worse off even if wages have risen. Just stating the bleeding obvious. But you keep on cheer leading, fellah. They need muppets like you.
Real wages have grown more in the first 10 months of the Labour government than during the first ten years of Conservative governments since 2010. How come that isn’t making headlines?.

He retweeted a vile antisemitic post you buffoon!!!.Some mothers are rotting in jail for saying naughty things on social media. He only lost his job.
Notice how presenters like Rachel Riley speak out in support of Israel and keep their TV roles, but presenters like Gary Lineker speak out against genocide and they get fired?.

Anyone recognise this lovely young man?.This isn’t just random vandalism. It’s Jew hate. - pure & simple. #Antisem itism.
Today, an antisemite walked up to a Jewish home in one of London’s most Jewish areas, pulled out a knife, and tore the mezuzah off the door. Still think this is “just about Israel”?. Once again in Europe, Jews are being attacked at our homes and pushed to the margins of society.

Why would the EU pay UK fishermen to supply fish when EU fishermen now have the right to fish and supply stock from UK waters? What obligation have they given for 12 year rights to UK waters.
For the hard of thinking,. UK fisherman are now able to sell their fish to the EU 🇪🇺. This is a win. You have won. Please, stop believing Nigel Farage. He conned you to further his grubby, personal agenda. Farage does not give a toss about farmers, or fishermen. Wake-up!.

How to massively boost immigration from India. Ask Labour why Indian companies need an incentive to send even more Indians to 🇬🇧 and why/how that benefits 🇬🇧.
❗️Share the facts ❗️.Re Indian Free Trade Deal. The NI rules only apply to Indian companies in India, who send temporary workers to the UK for Indian Businesses, and not Indians on Work Visas being hired by UK businesses .ALSO.Indian workers will continue to pay all other taxes.

They’re breaking more than eggs. How about the whole fucking economy!.Sounds like.“You’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!!!”.
I voted @UKLabour last July. I gave @Keir_Starmer a 5 year mandate to do whatever is necessary to put this country back on the right track after 14yrs of Tory incompetence and a disastrous Brexit. We’re now in the “breaking a few eggs” phase… I still have confidence in him 👍.

Nah. Pathetic attempts to justify freebies was more than enough to see thru you lot. Liars with snouts in the trough. Not a business mind anywhere in sight. Tax & spend.
Labour losing Runcorn was avoidable and as much a result of our party’s failures as Reform’s rise. Now, we need to learn the right lessons, not double down on the same mistakes. Cutting disability benefits and scrapping the Winter Fuel Allowance made voters abandon us. [1/3].

We could drill our own oil/gas supplies from the North Sea - we used to. But Labour’s net zero gesture politics means we import hydrocarbons from elsewhere at market prices WITHOUT collecting tax revenues from oil & gas companies. Our wealth is being exported.
Farage is in for a shock. UK electricity prices are high because of soaring gas prices. Not net zero. Gas sets the price, even for renewables. Net zero actually cuts long-term costs. It’s that simple.
