Today’s indictment of my opponent, Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, is a sad moment for the people of Florida’s 20th Congressional District. I am disappointed that the Congresswoman for abusing the power she was given and instead used it to enrich herself and her family.

Today, I joined the City of Fort Lauderdale and neighbors at the inauguration of Abiaka Park, the newest addition to Fort Lauderdale’s green space. This two acre park in the Riverside Park neighborhood is named in honor of Micosukee leader Abiaka (Sam Jones).

As always, Light up Sistrunk was an amazing show of community, art, and talent. It was great to be back in the neighborhood where I grew up, and to spend time listening to our community’s concerns.
