I'm not a fan of reality TV, which I find awkward, unentertaining, and dull. But there was one reality show which I loved. The Osbornes. It was extraordinary. Rest in peace, Mr O. And my love and condolences to your wonderful, batshit crazy family. You are all fabulous.

Neighbour visited me this evening. I gave her glass of wine. She sat at my table, saw this, leapt up. Apologised. Said "Shall we pretend I didn't see that?" and RAN AWAY. Whatever she thought it was, it's not that. So what did she think it was? And who knows what it really is?

This is so true. My trans friends cope with so much abuse just for going about their everyday lives, not hurting anyone; they deserve compassion and respect, just like everyone else, but instead they are abused and demeaned. It's a disgrace.
Regular reminder that most trans people are just trying to navigate their way through their lives with as little impact on you as possible.

Oh my goodness. This is one of the most beautiful things I've read this year. I'm estranged from my parents (father died last year after telling everyone not to let me know he was dying. ) and still feel this so keenly.

My sons knew before they were 4 what they wanted to do with their lives. Eldest loved numbers, is now a mathematician. Youngest loved great big diggers, now drives them for a living. If they were right about their talents and passions at 4, why is 8 too young to know sexuality?.

My youngest has severe dyslexia. It caused him so much trouble through school, made worse by teachers telling him he wasn't trying hard enough and was stupid. He's now thriving, working 70 hour weeks doing what he loves. Hard physical work. Says it's still easier than school.
This article is completely unacceptable, @MailOnline. Dyslexia and ADHD are genuine conditions that pose significant challenges in life. They deserve understanding and compassion, not ridicule. 😡
