Yet another way #climatechange is impacting Texans: Extreme heat = Worse air quality = Worse health Ozone inflames our lungs, making us susceptible to infections (ie covid), prompt asthma attacks, etc Sunlight + heat accelerates reactions to form ozone. https://t.co/pZOH8gkqlL

Emissions are reacting with the summer heat to create high levels of smog, hazardous air pollution that damages the lungs. But state officials are pushing back on ozone pollution controls proposed by...

There's a fire up near Huntsville. It's so hot many of us can't think straight. Breaking records left and right. This isn't normal. This is why we need climate action now.

It's not an accident that I am posting more about climate-change related angles to various weather stories. I used to be somewhat skeptical that things would change as fast as projected. The science was never in doubt...but the modeling, outcomes, etc. I had reservations.

OP-ED: Low-producing oil & gas wells make up over 50% of climate-warming O&G methane emissions nationwide. @CleanAirCouncil calls on @EPA to strengthen it's #cutmethane rule to address emissions from these small wells with leak-prone equipment. @WHYY

Opinion: Methane leaks don’t abide by state boundaries, so one state’s problem impacts everyone. Strong regulation at the federal level is necessary.

Today, #SCOTUS stripped the Environmental Protection Agency of a strong tool to tackle climate changing by limiting emissions from power plants. The climate crisis is hurting Houstonians now. This decision harms us all.

It seems worth noting that climate inaction will cost us $2,000,000,000,000 annually by the end of the century.

#DontLookUp missed the part where the Supreme Court says we can’t stop the asteroid because that power wasn’t written into the Constitution in 1787.

Last week, the TCEQ chair said he wasn't sure what to do with the term environmental racism. Last night, an expert warned TCEQ a pending decision is an example of environmental racism. And now I'm reading about advocates' ask for EPA to look at TCEQ for civil rights violations.
