There will be a lot of “oh haha, this is so petty AccuWeather nonsense,” but this is actually a very, very inappropriate thing of them to do. Arguably one of the most egregious things they’ve done IMO. You don’t just get to declare an unnamed storm happened.
In a predictable, yet shamelessly petulant, update, AccuWeather has tripled-down, now plotting their “unnamed” non-tropical nor’easter on a map of tropical cyclones. Unfortunately, the company continues to shirk science and sacrifice credibility for the sake of ego. Yikes.
