This! “Blend” is a verb not a noun!!!! Stop the madness. Teach the complexity by increasing the number of sounds in a single syllable and move on!
Should we teach “blends”? ❤️ this from @HollyLanePhD in the UFLI FB group. Tbh I tend to avoid FB groups these days as the abundance of inaccurate/misleading replies raises my blood pressure…but when Holly jumps in to answer a question it’s worth reading!

Kelley said getting such inaccurate information from the BAS has been disorienting. The school told her all along her son was meeting his goals based on Fountas and Pinnell’s measures.

Happy 🩷 today to hear this K student spelling “pool”. At🪞 to watch his mouth, matched to kid lips, went back to 📝 & wrote “pool” correctly in his sentence. He explained all of this to a visitor. #ComalRA @ninarudewick @AmyRMalone @daniellegrinnan @JSchimank
