Nothing more perfectly encapsulates parochialism of British political culture imo than media’s *obsession* w/ goings-on at Oxford. Ohhh my god the “Oxford Union president” said something idiotic? Should we tell everyone? Should we stage a protest? Should we invite Evelyn Waugh?
I'm honestly surprised so many people seem shocked about this Oxford Union president story. The university has been rotten to the core for years. A shell of what it once was, all because it was taken over by HR managers intent on destroying a once great institution.
