RT @mishachellam: I think this is the most important piece on Abundance since the book came out:

We will know that abundance has succeeded when there is a proliferation of “abundances,” different governing projects attached to previously existing ideologies, interests, and parties.

Big new paper from Steve Teles @NiskanenCenter today Steve outlines six types of “abundance” thinking that he predicts will shape US politics. As in the Progressive Era, broad principles will attach to distinct cultural and political economic projects.

Hey @Microsoft I should not have to spend hours and use AI walking me through command prompts to get my kids' computer to work on their school Wifi because you are trying to push everyone to the cloud. Mac is lookin' real good for my next purchase.

A version of this letter should go to President Trump, referencing the visuals he saw on TV, and explaining the economics of looting/hoarding/access and aid-resale that make GHF unsustainable.
I'm happy to share an open letter to the Israeli government from 23 professors of economics across the US and Europe (including myself):.

Would love to see what @RBReich thinks of this piece - arguing the Dems of the 80s and 90s sought ambitious industrial policy and "believed it could modernize traditional industries and develop high-tech ones." But they weren't able to execute that under Clinton. Try, try again?.
Does liberalism need an “abundance mindset”?. I ventured into the #abundance debate with an essay for @NiskanenCenter historicizing everybody’s favorite topic. Thanks to @DavidDagan and @Matthew_Meyers5 for their editorial guidance. #USPolitics

Right. There's partisan teamsmanship that interest groups get forced into (see @jcrohsaine: , and there's genuine policy crossover a "single issue" group should mind. They get harder to untangle the higher the level of gov't.

Partisan polarization has sucked in the special interests that long kept Congress pragmatic.
Still, even at state level, there's a logic for YIMBYs to pay attention to urban quality of life that's different from the kind of coalitional reasoning that (as Matt points out) led an abortion-rights group not to canvas for a candidate w/ disfavored immigration policies. /5

Thank God for people like this, who even after being spit upon, insist on our common humanity, just carry on being the people they are. Thank God.
Salman, a Palestinian/Arab Israeli, broke his ankle while rescuing a pregnant woman from the 29th floor of a missile-hit tower in Ramat Gan, Israel. On the way down, an Israeli extremist shouted: “He’s an Arab, he's an Arab.”. While the haters had time to shout racist slurs,
