Agree. Nothing low skilled about care work; it may not require academic degree level knowledge, but plenty of skill required in terms of delivering good, safe and ethical care to society’s most vulnerable people.
I find the claim that care workers are lower skilled abhorrent. And try to imagine UK social care with 50,000 fewer workers.
