BT Murrayfield is a stunning stadium with excellent facilities and a far superior transport infrastructure - making it easily the most sensible option to become the next National stadium.
Which is why I fully expect the SFA to announce their choice as Hampden.
My favourite end of

I get the importance of maths in schools but I just wish I was taught fully how to deal with tax, National Insurance, pensions, being employed/self employed etc. when I was at school.
That’s a subject that would have actually been really handy in adult life.
REALLY handy.
Given how much nasty and vile stuff
@Twitter
seems to allow - the fact they’ve given a liftetime ban to Jo Caulfield for posting a funny about drinking wine beggars belief. She’s a fabulous person and comedian. Give her account back!!

Had to come see this for myself. This is all down to the amazing LX team
@captheatres
- thank you guys. Phenomenal.
@AndyGray59
would have LOVED this. 💜🦇

Got on the wrong train to Glasgow Queen Street. Got the one which goes via Polmont, Camelon and Aviemore. This is me at the start and this will be me by the end of the journey.
Fab week on the Afternoon Show! Tribute to Sean Connery, repeat of my int with John Sessions recorded just before his death,

It's all here:
About to take this Big Tidy out for one last bag off.
What an emotional rollercoaster this show has been from the very beginning to the very abrupt end.
Thanks to everyone who came and to those who wanted to but couldn’t.
See you next year.

How quickly life can change. 💚
My first Xmas without the Panto since 1999. Needless to say we’re beyond gutted.
Not the biggest surprise but still hard to see it in black and white. I’m remaining positive and looking at it as just taking a year out.
Looking forward to 2021. What a show THAT’S gonnae be. X
* King's panto update*
We're saddened to announce that this year’s King’s panto, Sleeping Beauty, has been rescheduled until November 2021.
Tickets will automatically be transferred to 2021. Our box office will be in touch with all ticket bookers over the coming weeks.
🆕 | The Board of Hibernian have announced that the majority shareholding in the club has passed fom HFC Holdings - owned by Sir Tom Farmer and Rod Petrie - to Bydand Sports LLC - a new company set up for that purpose by US businessman Ronald Gordon.

It’s been 5 months since we’ve seen each other. We last had a beer together in March here in Black Ivy so we’ve returned to pick up where we left off. 🍺

Today the First Minister announced that from 26 December indoor events will be limited to 200 people or less with 1 metre social distancing in place for up to three weeks.
Happy 90th Birthday Sir Sean Connery. Thanks for delivering everyone’s milk (apparently), The Untouchables, being the best Bond and Indiana’s Dad.
Thanks also to the young lady whose timing was impeccable that night at Prestonfield. 🤦🏻♂️

Having watched all 6 eps on the new series of
#AfterLife
(for reviewing purposes) I’d say not just 6 funny eps (which it is) but it’s like the perfect third chapter in one big funny, sad, touching, awkward story told over three series.
@rickygervais
- bravo Sir. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Since last June I have moved my daughter out of York back home to Edinburgh. Out of home in Edinburgh through to a flat in Glasgow. Out of a flat in Glasgow back home in Edinburgh. Today I move her out of home to a flat in Leith.
Might start taking bookings.
#StottiesRemovals
Cutest heckle I’ve had levied at me in Panto came this afternoon. Whilst in full evil flow, a little tiny voice bellowed “I used to like you” at me half way through Act 1.
Beautifully timed delivery too.
If someone told me, when I first started out in
#Panto
, that one one day this was going to happen, I would never have believed them. But it did.

Just jumped in a cab from the Kings Theatre.
Taxi Driver: “Been to see the Panto?”
Me: “Er.....yup.”
TD: “Is it funny?”
Me: “The baddie was quite good.”
TD: “Not been to the Panto for years!”
Me: ”Who was your favourite?”
TD: “that Allan Stewart is excellent”

Happy 97th Birthday to the wonder that is Stanley Baxter. Had the fantastic opportunity to interview him in his home in London when he was but a nipper of 92.
Just done something on my way to work today that I haven’t done, in public, for years - I fell.
It was a beauty. Crossed the road, tripped over the kerb, landed on my back, legs a cimbo - full dying fly!! Right in front of a car full of a family heading to Panto!!

Had to share this. One of the child dancers in the

asked me backstage if I “shaved my head to get that pointy bit to look like that!”

Today I went into town and wandered along Princes Street. I went into shops and bought clothes and records. It felt like 1985 all over again.
All that was missing was a quarter pounder from Wimpy.
My son is 23 and has never experienced the joy and excitement of watching Scotland in a National Tournament.
Last night I have promised to buy him a Scotland top.
THAT’S the sort of crazy, irrational, spontaneous behaviour Scotland qualifying has incited. 🤪🏴
Finally completed

. Wow. Best cop drama I’ve seen in years. Better than Line of Duty in my book. Story actually made sense!! 😜 Real edge of seat telly. Can’t recommend it enough. 👊🏻
It was 30 years ago today..
Having left the polis one week previous, at 1am, I pushed up a fader in studio B at Radio Forth and did my first professional link on air. Little did I know what was to come and little did I know my first autograph card was going to look like this!🤦🏻♂️
Should be starting rehearsals tomorrow. 😢Got my Kings fix this morning tho. 🤩Filmed a very special Xmas event for

The final show of the year and indeed the run. And what a fantastic run it’s been.
Time for Capt. James T. Hook to take on Pan one last time.
Happy New Year ya bunch o’ tidies!! 🏴☠️🐊🪝
In the last year I auditioned for the part of a radio presenter and on another occasion; a policeman.
I didn’t get either.
As a former police officer turned radio presenter, this made me chuckle.

Imagine how much better we would all feel every day if Twitter was full of glorious, heartwarming stuff like this?
Take a bow
@theliammayo
and all who helped with this! 👏👏👏❤️
As some of you on here already know a lad I work with who has autism was mugged on Monday. We managed to get a whip round on the go and raised over £400! Thank you to everybody who donated and passed on their best on here. He doesn’t show his emotions very well but he’s buzzing
So sad to hear Bobby Ball has passed away. Did my first ever Kings Edinburgh Panto with him and Tommy in 1994 and then again in Glasgow the following year. I was a huge fan as a boy so getting to watch them tear the place apart from the wings each night was a thrill.
#RIPBobby
Let the panto comedown commence. A fabulous first run in the wonderful Festival Theatre with a lovely bunch of Tidies.
Will return there in November for my 25th Edinburgh Panto with my ever faithful Ring of Villainy for “Peter Pan”.
💜😈💜😈🪝
Until then….Shoosh.
Such sad news about Les McKeown. Hosted a gig and his band were booked to close the event. Soon as they went on stage, every single seat at every single table emptied and the dancefloor filled and stayed packed through their brilliant set.
#BayCityRollers
Up town for a stroll and sad to see this place all boarded up. Top Man was my first “radio” gig as in store Saturday DJ in the early/mid 80s.
Great days of dodgy hair, T bag T shirts and leather trousers.
Right. Here we go. Another belter of a season at The Kings with this dream team beckons. Goldilocks makes it 20 Edinburgh Kings Panto’s in a row for me!!! 😳😈 🎩
#NotBeenFoundOutYet
I’m sitting in a lovely bar up town on the coldest night since the last cold one and noticed that people’s inability to SHUT THE DOOR after them is quite remarkable. 😳
Happy 90th Birthday to the magnificent
@edinplayhouse
! Sold programmes as a teenager and saw hunners of bands back in the day. Even did work experience there from High school with my mate Mino. They trusted us to change the names on the canopy one day.
So we did this. 🤓
After a quick (and very abrupt) exit on Xmas Eve, I finally went back to The Kings today to clear out my dressing room.
Gutted we had to finish like we did but am now looking forward to moving

to The Festival Theatre this Christmas.

Huge respect and admiration for our panto star Andy Gray speaking about getting the all-clear from cancer to bestie

Of course he is!!
He was hardly going to lose the ability to do what he’s been doing for years!!

Today is William Shatner’s birthday. It’s also the day that Stevie Nicks tickets go on sale.
However there is no truth in the rumour they both just got married and Stevie has changed her name to Stevie Shatner Nicks.
Which is a shame.
