Happy Saturday! Let's do some quick #ProblemSolving using #TryMathLive #TryMathsLive from the February Calendar of Problems. Here is Feb 9, a great one to remind Ss of exponent laws & common base strategy. #Algebra2 #Precalculus #MTBoS #iTeachMath #T3Learns

Can you solve my daughter's HS challenge math problem? There are 10 kids, assorted into various (possibly overlapping) groups. Each group has an odd number of people, but the intersection of any two has an even number. Show there are at most ten groups.

Considering the source, I'd also be thrilled if someone decided to #trymathslive with this problem. That's a specialty of @DavidKButlerUoA, and a hashtag worth checking out if you haven't yet!

Because I love them so much, I shall #TryMathsLive and do a partial fractions decomposition for the purpose of doing an inverse Laplace transform…

I shall #TryMathsLive with this puzzle from @Cshearer41. It will be on and off between various jobs, so it may take me a while. Don’t jump in with suggestions! My silence is not a request for help, just me doing the rest of my life.

Ok @Quasilocal alerted me to this apparently “insanely hard” problem from @iwontoffendyou and I am going to #trymathslive on it until I decide to stop. (@Quasilocal feel free to mute me or whatever for a bit to avoid spoilers, though who knows if what I do will help.)

Can you solve this Missing Spots Problem? Inspired by @DavidKButlerUoA, I've recently created a whole set of these for my Lesson Library. It's a great task for developing spatial thinking, subitising & logic! More info on the Lesson Library here: https://t.co/afUzgnOfCn
