How to run a Card Sort Task 💡. 1. Take 6-12 standard problems from a current topic. 2. For each problem, create 2 cards. Each card has a different representation of that problem. For example: diagrams, answers, questions and/or working out. 3. Students match up cards.

How to Turn Maths Fear into Excitement. (A favourite strategy). For too many students, maths is a source of fear. And it’s a subject where you’re either right or you’re wrong. You’re good or bad. ​Cart Sort Tasks are a powerful strategy to help students see maths differently.
