Impressive Video recorded by "Nino," from the Tornado de Rio Bonito do Iguaçu-PR on 11/07 (F4). This gentleman's calm is enviable. He was on the edge of the tornadic circulation (F0/F1). The insane roar!

Finallly arrived at my location of Port Washington, Wisconsin after a few stops. Wish I chased those tornadic supercells earlier passing through IL, but a nice M flare and some good fishing should keep me busy this week!

Impressive supercell in the Veneto plai- wait… oh? This is the Messina area? WHAT?!? I don’t know how common such a structure is in the area. Tornadic supercells sure never get these shapes this time of year and in this area! Photo by Chiara Bello

Powerful tornadic supercell with threatening wallcloud in northern France on the evening of April 8th, 2024. The most spectacular storms undeniably happen in the Great Plains, but there‘s just something special about chasing at home in Europe.

Something crazy: The Bremen/Central City, KY area was impacted by 3 tornadic supercells on 12/10/21, before a final hit from the main supercell where arguably the most violent contextual damage would occur. Talk about crying wolf. Always heed warnings.

Okay, I’m done for now. This is my best photo. Really a top 5 life experience with my dad tonight. We are in an insane era for both solar and tornadic activity. One day, I will be humbled. Frederick, Oklahoma

A shot of the tornadic Mound City, South Dakota supercell and EF-2 tornado on this day in 2024. Views like this of the entire storm's structure are my favorite -- this was a treat to shoot. #SDwx

Tonight's multi-tilt storm-following radar loop comes to you from 2017/04/30, where an early morning QLCS develops a quite large and tornadic bookend vortex. There's also smaller embedded mesocyclones/mesovortices that can be seen getting swirled into the larger circulation!

Elkhorn, NE EF4 tornado of 2024/04/26, from a storm-following viewpoint using tilts 0.5°, 0.9°, 1.3°, and 1.8°. The extra temporal resolution provided by using multiple tilts reveals some pretty crazy spinning motion visible with the tornadic circulation, as well as showing

6 years ago this evening, a tornadic supercell produced the costliest tornado in Texas history: a long-lived EF3 that tracked through the Dallas suburbs during the evening hours. Despite causing $1.55 billion in damage, no severe injuries or fatalities were reported.
