Rest in peace fallen warrior. We lost another forest soldier in Simplipal on 16th night. Shri Mathy Hansdah, forester got shot by poachers. Poachers have been identified and one accused is in custody. They are habitual offenders. Hope strict action is ensured by State govt.

Lulung forest and water areas in Simplipal National Park is a nice picnic spot.There is also a Sitakund Waterfall nearby.If you are planning for night stay then 'Aranya Nivas' (Resort) is the best to explore the nature within the forest. @ForestDeptt

The Simplipal wildlife park and surrounding hills are a good spot for multi-day MTB ride, subject to approvals. But it gets too hot here, so maybe only possible in December vacations. There is a very well maintained resort at Lulung village that can serve as the base.
