This is the #SilverFire burning to the northeast of Bishop. As of now it’s over 150 acres with structures threatened. Hwy 6 north of town has also been shut down. Winds are continuing to push it towards the east. @knxnews

🔥#BreakingNews: The rapid growing #SilverFire near #Bishop prompted evacuations for parts of Inyo and Mono counties on Sunday afternoon. As of 8 p.m., the fire had burned 1,000 acres and was threatening nearby structures and power lines.

Current view of the #SilverFire: fire activity has died down since last night. US Highway 6 has been reopened for traffic.
