@lindaosull88 Over the last 3 years there have been a handful of Job losses whilst 3000 new posts have been created. When schools complete the exceptional review application 60% of those requests for more SNAs have been successful. Its important to relay facts not fiction. #respectforsnas

@ncseirl @WexfordEdCentre SNAs should be invited to this as well as they work directly with the student. As an organisation looking after special needs, running courses including SNAs would benefit all. #respectforsnas @SNAsSpeakOut

There are male SNAs and has been for years, yet we are still considered 'one of the girls' by a certain cohert of society ... we aren't mothers,we are an integral part of the team, highly trained professionals, who go above and beyond for the students in our care #RespectForSNAs
Have we gone back to the 1950s?Samantha says it better than I could but this article shows the author has no knowledge of the SNA role in modern Ireland. We do not 'mother' we advocate, promote inclusion and foster independence in cooperation with teachers. @IrishTimes do better.
