When I had to close a class 6 weeks ago because of the sub crisis, I emailed the COVID helpline and my inspector. I asked them for any support or advice on what I should do if it happened again.

As a teacher, I do not under ANY circumstances want schools to close. I hated online teaching. I love being in school with my students & colleagues. But for the love of God, can we stop lying about schools being safe?! Admitting they’re not safe does not = automatic closing!

I was still completely unable to work on Day 11 and still testing positive on antigen.

There is no reliable positivity rate because parents were not required to do them.

Managed to get in the sustainable leadership bit in my interview as well as the 67% of circulars related to managing the org.

DES are telling schools to open Autism Classes & they'll build them a prefab, 2 rooms for 2 Autism classes with sensory room/kitchen etc.
In a separate building.
This is NOT inclusion. This is ticking kids off your waiting lists & saving money that real inclusion would cost
