You can’t just hang things on lampposts. Even the English flag. Put it on your house or a pole in your garden if you must, but all councils should be following Derby’s lead by removing flags and charging people who put flags on lampposts in the future

@rorygeo @WMPolice In Bristol our Council have decided to remove Union Jacks & flags of St George from lampposts, allegedly because they have been put up by racists. It's hardly surprising that people have been putting up these flags when they are fed up of seeing Pakistani or Palestinian flags.
